Forest Factory EDC beads

Handmade in California by Tim Markel, the Forest Factory EDC beads are the 122nd shop-drop by the Orange County maker and the first CW drop to feature CamoQuartz. CamoQuartz is a composite material developed by CamoCarbon that combines quartz fiber and resin. As it is machined, layers of contrasting colors are exposed, giving the material its distinctive topographic appearance. The CamoQuartz featured in the Forest Factory has an alternating green and gold pattern. The reflective gold layers and textured quartz fiber are difficult to capture in photographs and are best appreciated in person.

Beneath each CamoQuartz cap are two layers of Skur Composites HyperGlow: Blue HyperGlow and Darkside Red HyperGlow, which appears gray under normal lighting but emits a vibrant red glow after exposure to UV light. The core of each bead is a stack of alloys unlike anything previously seen in a Copper Wagon bead. At its center sits a thick Grade 5 titanium segment. Above and below the centerpiece are recessed accent pockets, each consisting of a copper layer sandwiched between two brass layers which are then bordered by two thin Grade 5 titanium layers which transitions to the Hyperglow segments.

A total of 12 Forest Factory beads were made, but only 10 are available through the shop-drop.

The Forest Factory beads were fine-tuned to work perfectly on your standard 6mm spin-sticks/bead-caddies, or as a knife lanyard bead, or zipper-pull.
