Sapstone EDC beads
Handmade in California by Tim Markel, the Sapstone EDC beads are the 91st one-time shop-drop by the Orange County maker and the first CW drop to feature genuine Baltic amber.
Fossilized amber is ancient tree resin that has hardened over millions of years as its organic compounds slowly polymerize into a durable, gemstone-like material. This genuine Baltic amber is stabilized within red translucent resin, allowing light to pass through the resin and through any translucent amber pieces, whether they sit at the surface or are embedded within the bead. This creates a warm, glowing effect that highlights the depth, color, and natural history in every piece. Each bead features a mix of transparent and opaque amber fragments. The amber used in this material is approximately 35 million years old.
Born from a passion for craftsmanship, every Copper Wagon EDC bead is carefully designed, assembled, turned, and polished in very small batches. Every Copper Wagon EDC bead is one-of-a-kind. Past drops/themes are not repeated.

The Sapstone EDC beads were fine-tuned to work perfectly on your standard 6mm spin-sticks/bead-caddies, or as a lanyard bead, or zipper-pull.
A total of 9 Sapstone beads were made, but only 8 are available through the shop-drop.
Please note: Because the amber and resin have different hardnesses and densities, the bead’s highly polished surface may show small variations or slight differences in finish between the two materials.
